Avenir Group of Companies · Switzerland / Estonia

Long-term industrial investment, committed to Ukraine.

Avenir is a Swiss and Estonian holding company committed to facilitating long-term investment in Ukraine.

01 · About us

A European platform for Ukrainian industry

Avenir brings together Swiss and Estonian entities under a single purpose: to channel capital, governance expertise and trading capability into Ukrainian industrial enterprises, and to support their operation, modernisation and integration into European markets.

The Group combines long-term capital commitment with practical expertise in metallurgical and energy commodities, supporting Ukrainian industry's integration into European markets.

Switzerland

Holding & Trading

Swiss-incorporated entities providing capital, oversight and access to international commodity markets and capital deployment.

Estonia

European Operations

Estonian-incorporated entities supporting EU-facing operations, administration and transparent corporate structuring.

Ukraine

Industrial Focus

Ongoing commitment to Ukrainian industrial assets, with the Pobuzhsky Ferronickel Plant at the centre of the Group's investment vision.

02 · The Asset

Pobuzhsky Ferronickel Plant (PFK)

PFK is the only enterprise in Ukraine producing ferronickel on an industrial scale from low-grade oxidised nickel-bearing ores. Its favourable geographic position and developed transport network — including a dedicated rail link to the Odesa railway, 150–250 km from the Black Sea ports — underpin its role in the metals market.

The plant operates direct metallurgical processing capacity, without beneficiation or agglomeration, producing ferronickel alloys of iron with nickel, chromium, silicon and copper for stainless and specialty steelmaking, as well as foundry applications.

Product / FeNi

Ferronickel

Alloy of iron with nickel, chromium, silicon and copper. Over 85% consumed in ferrous metallurgy for corrosion-resistant steels.

Product / Foundry

Foundry Ferronickel

Carbon-, silicon- and chromium-bearing grades for high-strength, abrasion- and heat-resistant cast irons in machine building.

Product / Aggregates

Slag & Crushed Stone

Processed slag and aggregate products for construction and infrastructure applications.

03 · Energy

Energy for Ukraine's industrial recovery

Alongside metallurgy, Avenir develops and evaluates energy investments that strengthen the resilience of Ukraine's grid and secure competitive power for industry — from battery energy storage systems (BESS) to solar, wind and gas-fired generation.

BESS

Battery Energy Storage

Grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) supporting frequency regulation, backup capacity and the integration of renewables.

Solar

Solar

Utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects delivering competitive, decentralised generation for industrial consumers.

Wind

Wind

Wind generation as part of a balanced portfolio of renewable capacity for Ukraine's energy system.

Gas

Gas

Flexible gas-fired generation and supply, providing dispatchable power and process energy for industry.

04 · Industrial & Energy Park

An integrated ecosystem for industrial resilience

The PFK Industrial and Energy Park complements the rehabilitation of the Pobuzhsky Ferronickel Plant by establishing an integrated industrial and energy ecosystem. Rather than operating as a single enterprise, the park attracts complementary industrial, engineering and energy-related activities, creating a resilient hub for regional economic development.

The park is designed to localise specialist services historically sourced externally, reduce operating costs, strengthen regional supply chains and support Ukraine's industrial reconstruction.

05 · Our Vision for PFK

A viable, modern and transparent PFK

Avenir's commitment to PFK is long-term. We see the plant not as a distressed asset but as strategic Ukrainian industrial infrastructure — capable, with the right investment and governance, of serving European markets for decades to come.

Continuity of operations

Securing feedstock supply, working capital and market access so that production and employment in Pobuzke are preserved.

Modernisation

Investment in energy efficiency, environmental performance and process technology to bring the plant to contemporary European standards.

Transparent governance

European corporate governance, verified reporting and clean related-party practices across the enterprise.

Community responsibility

Continued support for the town of Pobuzke and the Holovanivsk district, where the plant remains the principal employer.
